rituals > God Invocation VII

By: Jeremy Huppatz

This is more a male-centric version - I wouldn't use it in a shared circle.  Note also that I've left out any references to the names of the God from any specific paths.  Being an eclectic type I'd rather capture the spirit than cage it with names.

Behold!

For I am the dancing one, the flame in the east and the west.
I am the spirit of the sun and the harbinger of night.
Fickle is my will and wylde are my ways.
As I bring life in the morning, so do I bring death at the end of days.

Behold!

For I am born of the spark of steel on steel.
I am the fuel and the fire of the forge.
I temper with fierce blows and quench in hot oil.
I am the heat that makes warriors blood boil.

Behold!

For I am the voice of courage and fear.
I frighten the boy-child and strike awe in grown man.
I am the great hunter whose goal is to know
All that he needs to make all things just so.

Behold!

For I am the child of logic and the father of mind.
The heart beats a tempo which is not linked to mine.
I am the noise in the darkness, who tests man's resolve.
I am the myst'ry in twilight - the great puzzle to solve.

Behold!

For I am the awareness of time, the rhythm and rhyme, the clock and the chime.
Learn my dances.  Learn my ways.  Learn my wisdom. Learn my days.
For I am your fierceness, your spirit, your pride.
For I am your protector, your weapon, your guide.

Be one with the God, and rage with him, ever vigilant against the dying of days.
