rituals > regaining sexual strength

Impotence is the inability to gain or sustain an erection. Causes can be high blood pressure, psychological factors, high alcohol consumption, diabetes-related circulatory problems, stress, or it can be a side-effect of powerful medications.

Impotence can occur in relationships ranging from a one-night stand to a long-loving relationship. If the cause is psychological, the self-loving ritual can be most beneficial. Remember too, that a healthy diet promotes good blood circulation, and helps prevent hardening of the arteries of the penis.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are beneficial in treating impotence, with the herbal formulas Tai Pan Tang Yi Pian and Kwei Ling Chi being most successful. Lovemaking should focus on non-genital stimulation: pleasure shouldn't be penis focused.

To overcome impotence, psychological and physical blockages need to be lifted. Use a massage oil scented with geranium, clary sage and rose. Light a purple candle to symbolise strength of purpose.

Starting at the navel, massage the stomach, sweeping the blockages and impediments to erection out of your body, moving up to your chest to lightly brush the area over the heart, stimulating blood flow. Continue this massage starting at your fingers, moving up your arms and then move to the toes, brushing the blood upwards to the genital area. Anoint the base of your penis with the massage oil and state the affirmation below over and over, all the while looking into the flame of the candle.

"My masculinity is not centred in my penis, but in my heart. I am a strong and healthy sexual being"

Snuff out the candle with your fingertips.
